Meet the Team: Allison

Meet the Team: Allison

Although Allison is one of the newer members of the Frontline team, you really wouldn’t think so. Heading up our marketing and outreach activities, Allison’s learnt a lot in a short space of time, which serves her well in producing collateral of value for the company and clients.

With a background in graphic design, Allison is proficient with the Adobe design suite, creating eye-catching and meaningful work that brings our products to life and puts tangible sales tools in the hands of our clients. We sat down with Allison to find out more about her and her typical day at work…

Hi Allison! Tell us a little bit about your role and responsibilities at Frontline?

Hiya! I am the marketing co-ordinator & graphic designer here at Frontline. I realize that is quite the mouthful, and so my day-to-day activities vary greatly.

I work with the team to brainstorm fresh new ideas, and find ways to translate them into tangible marketing materials. Some days, I am listening to Spotify while creating a catalogue, or assembling a video. Other days I am away from my desk with a camera in hand to capture new product photos, or film video content with my co-conspirator – Shannon.

What was your professional background prior to this?

I’ve been working in the field of graphic design for about 5 years now. My last job was creating advertisements for social media, so it’s refreshing to get to work on something new everyday here at Frontline. Prior to that, I worked in the customer service industry for approximately 8 years.

What’s your favourite thing about your job/the print & display sector?

My favourite thing about my current job with Frontline is all of the incredible projects I get to work on each and every day. The creative freedom I am given is truly a blessing.

What would you say are the key attributes required to perform well in your role?

Organization. Hands down. Organization is the answer to just about every role – or at least that is my opinion. When I am organized I can be efficient, which allows me the most time to think creatively instead of wasting time looking for things.

If you didn’t work at Frontline, what would your dream job be?

I absolutely adore my job here at Frontline – but if I could, I would work with horses. Doing what exactly? That I’m not sure.

Do you have any hobbies or interests away from work? Or a favourite way to unwind?

I spend my weekends volunteering at a local barn, chipping away at the typical barn chores, caring for 30+ horses. If I am not at the barn, I am likely on the highway, driving to visit friends or family.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that colleagues might not know?

How about 2 truths & a lie?

a) I’ve visited all 10 Canadian provinces
b) I’ve lived in more than 20 houses
c) I’ve attended 11 different schools

*Hint: I have not yet found my way to Newfoundland.
