It’s been two-and-a-half years now of supply chain madness and we’re still not out of the woods! Reuben is our VP of Operations and Supply Chain and, as you’d expect, it’s been even busier than normal for him as he’s been tackling the supply chain issues as a result of the pandemic. We caught up with Reuben in a quieter moment to find out more about his role at Frontline…
Hi Reuben! Tell us a bit more about your job – what are your main responsibilities?
Hello! My role is VP of Operations and Supply Chain so that basically means anything to do with product procurement. This might mean sourcing or improving products, or overseeing company operations like ordering or supply chain management.
What was your professional background prior to this?
I was a locksmith! So it’s pretty different in every way!
What’s your favourite thing about the print & display sector?
I would say the size of the market and the possibilities and options that there are available to offer.
What’s the most challenging thing facing you and your clients in the current business climate?
Maintaining quality products and developing the right new products that will have the necessary ROI.
What would you say are the key attributes required to perform well in your role?
Persistence and attention to detail. Quality is the backbone of everything we do at Frontline so it’s really important to maintain high standards.
If you didn’t work at Frontline, what would your dream job be?
A Military or search and rescue pilot.
Do you have any hobbies or interests away from work? Or a favourite way to unwind?
I enjoy DIY projects, organization, and anything to do with vehicles. A favourite way to unwind is to sit by the fire with a cup of tea, chocolate, reading a gripping non-fiction book.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that colleagues might not know?
I love studying World War II history.
