Previously a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, John’s ability to think on his feet and make decisions serves him well in the ever-changing dynamics of an operational role.
Hey John! Tell us a little bit about your role and responsibilities at Frontline?
Hi, my name is John and I am the Operations Supervisor at our New York warehouse location.
What was your professional background prior to this?
Sergeant First Class (retired) U.S. Army focusing on Helicopter Repair Supervision, Aviation Safety, and OSHA compliance.
What’s your favourite thing about your job/the print & display sector?
My position allows me to learn things in an area previously unfamiliar to me and creates challenges to search out solutions and streamline processes.
What’s the most challenging thing facing you and your clients in the current business climate?
Finding the proper balance in shipping cost, travel time, and level of service.
What would you say are the key attributes required to perform well in your role?
Flexibility and thinking outside the box.
If you didn’t work at Frontline, what would your dream job be?
After working for 20 years in the U.S. Army, I can honestly say I do not know, only that is has to be something that provides a mental challenge.
Do you have any hobbies or interests away from work? Or a favourite way to unwind?
Hunting and woodworking.
